After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, also known as The Penguin, takes control of Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about how they got into character during the production of «The Penguin.» Colin Farrell fought hard to make his version of the Penguin smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but failed. However, for his own series, the character was portrayed as a casual tobacco user, preferring cigars.
So the first episode is over and it was great

I’ve never seen Farrell so invested in a character
I mean, yes, he wears a fat suit, but you never know. His attitude, body language, voice, everything makes you immerse yourself in the character and see only Penguin. No relation to the other live TV penguins, Burgess Meredith or Robin Lord Taylor.
Penguin is an intermediary in a mafia organization
This is a New York mobster, a smart guy. He is Scorsese’s mobster, but without the flowery language. The plot is simple, similar to Lord Taylor’s Penguin on the CW’s Gotham.
Very entertaining and highly recommended
So far he’s served his sentence, slowly rising in the mob, and then, with the effects of the Riddler blowing up the city wall and the death of his boss in that movie, he sees an opportunity to move up in the world. Now begins the game of betrayal, double and, I guess, triple betrayal.
