It tells the story of three very different families competing to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion, which they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the series Ice Age (2002–present). I was surprised to see the show rated so low, but it made more sense when I saw in a few reviews how they couldn’t get past the first episode. The show is a mysterious slow burn that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it funny and entertaining with a tone typical of Liz Feldman, which I like. I really like the cast and everyone’s performances. I didn’t like Ray Romano at first because of my own prejudices (for God’s sake, I couldn’t tell him from Everybody Loves Raymond), but that wore off pretty quickly. All the different characters have their own subplots, creating a tangled web of chaos that gradually, though not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty excited about the story despite the fact that I figured out the main plot twist very early on. I’m not mad about it though. I’d love to see more of this series and I really hope it gets a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
